As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a utilities location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position requires driving as part of your daily duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.72 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the utilities location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related needs and concerns specific to the utilities environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred for this position.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
