Job Description

The Maternity Center Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of expectant mothers, newborn infants and post delivery mothers. The RN assesses the patient in a systemized, organized, timely manner. Formulates a nursing diagnosis based on accessible, communicable and recorded data. Plans care which includes goals and prioritized nursing approaches or measures derived from the nursing diagnosis. Implements strategies to provide for patient participation in health promotion, maintenance and restoration. Initiates nursing actions to assist the patient to maximize his or her health capabilities. Evaluates with the patient the status of goal achievement as a basis for reassessment, reordering priorities, new goal setting and revision of the plan of nursing care. Seeks educational resources, and creates learning experiences to enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills for his or her continuing competence in nursing practice and individual professional growth. The Maternity Center Staff Nurse recognizes his or her role and participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team working to attain the mission, motto, vision and values of Adams Memorial Hospital (AMH).

This position is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus!

Medical coverage on your 1st day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!

Requirements:

36 hours per week - Third Shift

Monday - Friday

6:45 pm - 7:15 am

Valid RN License in the State of Indiana

BLS/CPR certification

NRP; or obtained within 6 months

AWHONN Intermediate EFM; or obtained within 6 months

STABLE recommended

Previous OB experience preferred
